Our Work in Africa

The discovery of oil and natural gas in the coast of Equatorial Guinea, has given many people the opportunity to better their lives by working for foreign companies. Many Equatoguineans find themselves unable to obtain these jobs because they cannot speak English and the work ethic required by these companies.
How we help:
With the collaboration of the National University of Equatorial Guinea and the sponsorship of generous local partners and extraordinary English language instructors, iGA is creating an English Language Center at the local university (Universidad Nacional de Guinea Equatorial UNGE).
This will provide:
  • A center of language study for the community to create an English language resource for UNGE English students, primary and secondary English teachers and the business community at large.
  • A site where Equatoguineans can develop their English skills to further their careers instead of studying abroad which is financially unattainable for most.
